MINDFUL MUSE - Musical Expressive Arts

6 week online Support Group for Women with ADHD / AuDHD*

(*Diagnosed, assumed or self-identified.)

Awaken your natural gifts of creativity, playfulness and spontaneity to help manage ADHD symptoms and increase wellbeing.

This program offers weekly time and space to check in with yourself, creatively release stress, “tune up” your nervous system, practice self-compassion, and generate some feel-good, focus-friendly neurotransmitters.

Sessions include expressive music-making, art, movement, mindfulness and writing to nourish your beautiful neurodivergent brain. No experience is required.

This group will be a neuro-affirming, supportive and non-judgmental space with kindred souls who understand and can relate to each others’ experiences.

As a highly sensitive creative soul with late-diagnosis ADHD, I know how challenging it can be to navigate the shifting sands of your “neurospicy” inner world along with the demands of the outer world.

For my entire adult life I have been a seeker and scholar of creative approaches to mental health and self-care, mindfulness, singing, including Expressive Arts Therapy, mindfulness, singing and sound healing.

For this workshop, I have distilled therapeutic practices that not only support me and my clients in daily life, but are shown by scientific research to reduce challenges associated with adult ADHD.

You will experience mindful music and expressive arts-based strategies that are creative, fun, playful, and relaxing, to help you:

* reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelm
* find more emotional balance
* activate your inner wisdom
* enhance beneficial neurotransmitters for executive function (“brainpower”)
* feel more empowered and uplifted
* activate your inner gifts
* bring more joy, fun, beauty, creativity, connection and self-compassion into your life

Each session features education and discussion around an empowering theme related to ADHD, a mindful musical activity, expressive art and writing, and time for collective processing and integration.

These offer ways to support yourself with ADHD while activating the medicines of play, creative expression, sensory stimulation, community, self-acceptance, mindful presence and inner wisdom.

WEEK 1: Nervous system regulation for stress release (humming & drumming)
WEEK 2: Emotional balance (vocal toning & affirmation songs)
WEEK 3: Mindful movement (dancing & embodied art)
WEEK 4: Dopamine & the power of play (embodied imagination & drama)
WEEK 5: Focus & flow (hyperfocus & self-care)
WEEK 6: Integration

All women welcome (including trans and non-binary folks comfortable in a female-oriented space), and you don’t need experience, instruments or art supplies to participate. Suggested art supply list will be sent in advance.

* 6 weeks, Saturdays, February 1 - March 8, 2025
* 11 am - 1 pm Pacific Time (check your time HERE )
* Fee $360 CAD (approx $255 USD)
* Partial bursary available if needed.
